Erica primarily utilizes Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy when seeing couples. She also pulls from The Gottman Method and Internal Family Systems Theory. Erica works hard to help couples identify arguing patterns, make space for softer emotions, and practice putting thoughts and feelings into accepting words.

When seeing individuals in counseling, Erica uses her intensive training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder, Perinatal Grief & Loss, and Brainspotting, which is very similar to EMDR and is used to (re)process trauma.

Erica earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Houston Christian University, a nationally accredited program. She also sees Christian couples who want faith to be a more present element in their counseling.

Dr. Bradley is Founder and President of The Couple Zone. He holds a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy, and is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT). He works out of our Friendswood office. Brent has published numerous research articles in professional journals. He has authored and co-authored books, book chapters, and workbooks on couples counseling - both for clinicians and couples themselves. He is a longstanding Certified EFT Couples Therapist. Dr. Bradley was one of the first Americans to be extensively trained in EFT for couples (https://iceeft.com/).

Brent has also received advanced training in Emotion Focused Therapy (http://www.yorku.ca/yupc/eftclinic.htm) for individuals from Les Greenberg, Ph.D., the author of the approach. Dr. Bradley has received advanced training in Advanced Experiential Psychodynamic Therapy (AEDP) (http://www.aedpinstitute.org/) under Diana Fosha, the author of the approach.

Dr. Bradley also sees couples who want more of a specific Christian worldview in the couple's counseling process. This is not "biblical counseling", but a welcoming place where partners can share and learn how their faith and relationship goals intersect in their lives together, and want to place Christ in the center of their relationship.
